Staylebridge and Hyde joint motor district usually known as S.H.M.D. ran a fleet of various buses including this fine Daimler COG6 seen in Stockport in the early sixties. The overall green livery later gave way to green and cream and the initials and crest was moved around as though S.H.M.D. were undecided as to where they should go!
The original painting was produced for the historical journalist Nick Larkin who continues to entertain us with his unique but always accurate writings on the vehicles we all love.
A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American in acrylics on A3 heavyweight watercolour paper would cost �500.
