You really caught my eye with a train... Been riding steam trains since 1935, whenever I get the chance. You even caught the "oily" look a lot of them have. Looks close to photographic, if this was years ago, it would have looked exactly like some prints in the 30's and 40's of operating trains.... Am going to v tweet this to over 757 followers, bet some will like it as much as I do....

It wasn't called God's Wonderful Railway for nothing, these Kings had such presence in the flesh but I never worked on one in my time on the railway being employed on the grimy Midland Region. I try not to make my paintings too photographic as I think it can rob them of a certain painterly quality if one isn't careful. Thanks for tweeting it, I don't know how it works but it can't be bad!
