YOU TOO CAN COMMISSION MIKE TO PAINT YOUR VERY OWN ORIGINAL OF YOUR FAVOURITE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE WHETHER BRITISH OR AMERICAN, A SOUND INVESTMENT FROM WHOM MANY REGARD AS BRITAIN'S LEADING TRANSPORT ARTIST. JUST E-MAIL mike@transportartist.co.uk
This is an acrylic I painted back in the seventies when my work was influenced by the late, great Terence Cuneo the doyen of railway artists. The painting was quite large 24″36″ and this image is from a photo the present owner sent me recently. Due to a house move Ive lost his contact details and if hes out there could he contact me please.
This is of course a Peppercorn A1 4.6.2 of the same class of locomotive as the newly built "Tornado"of recent fame and is shown on shed being prepared for its next turn of duty on the road. COMMISSION A PAINTING FROM MIKE. It is with great regret that I have to inform you that Mike sadly passed away November 2020 aged 81, but I, (his partner) will keep his shop here going and am happy to reply to any emails you might send to his own email address at mike@transportartist.co.uk. He is without a doubt THE lorry...

I Have the original painting it is stunning! Mike truely is a fantastic artist! :)
Mike Jeffries replied:
Hello Darren, Thank you for your kind comment about my work, I am still painting steam locomotives in fact I now work even harder especially on American locomotives. I really would like a high res. image of Kenilworth if you can get it professionally photographed so that I can add it to my portfolio, it needs to be at least 2MB to be of use and as an early example of my work I would even like to re-work it if possible.
