Description
THIS PAINTING IS SOLD BUT YOU TOO CAN COMMISSION MIKE TO PAINT YOUR VERY OWN ORIGINAL OF YOUR FAVOURITE VEHICLE, A SOUND INVESTMENT FROM WHOM MANY REGARD AS BRITAINS LEADING TRANSPORT ARTIST. JUST E-MAIL mike@transportartist.co.uk
On a bitter winters day a heavy snowfall has brought traffic to a standstill on what passed for a major trunk road in pre-motorway Britain. Here the driver of a Scammell eightwheeler of British Road Services fights for traction on the icy surface while a fellow driver is on hand with a shovel.
A painting like this of your favourite vehicle, British or American, in oils on canvas or board would cost about 2000..

This looks REALLY cold...great job! contest vote
Mike Jeffries replied:
Many thanks Barbara for your kind comment and vote, in my lorry driving days I was snowbound on Penistone Moor overnight once and about twenty of us lorry drivers spent the night in the back of a furniture van to survive the cold!
