Labelled London's bus of the future when unveiled in 1954 there was doubt in some minds that London Transport had been right to chose the rear entrance half cab layout. The last RM ran in service in the capital in 2007 vindicating the wise judgement of fifty years previously and today many still yearn for the return of the rear entrance double-decker to London's streets.

Love this painting, brings back memories as I travelled every day on the No. 2 from Crystal Palace to Victoria late 60īs.

Love this painting. I spent 6 months living on a double decker bus traveling through the middle east and asia with Top Deck Travel and this painting brings back fond memories of my traveling days. Thanks for reminding me of the good times with your lovely painting. The bus I lived on was named Bollocks (ah-hem) and it was a work horse.
